Worship is an integral part of the religious faith practice. It’s where we gather together in community to praise God and receive the Word. Center staff work with faith leaders to identify their worship needs and provide a number of available resources to help congregations effectively plan and implement worship services. Through our no-cost consulting and resource grants, Indiana congregations were able to make the transition from in-person to online worship (and back again) during the COVID-19 pandemic. We connected faith leaders with vendors, consultants, and experts for navigating the transition to online worship, while keeping both adults and children engaged. Whether a congregation needs new technology equipment, or they are incorporating music into their worship session for the first time, Center staff provide congregations with the tools they need to thrive. We connect worship leaders with vendors, consultants, and organizations, without dictating who they hire. We give congregations the space and time to work through the information and offer grants to fund those worship initiatives.
The Center for Congregations is funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. and is a supporting organization of the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
