About UsCenter for Congregations

Indiana is increasingly becoming a state where diversity is growing and ministry needs are expanding. From small towns to urban cities, how do we promote an inclusive environment, so all will feel welcome? How do we integrate strategies for diversity, equity, and inclusion to respect each other’s differences, and encourage others to do the same?
The Center for Congregations helps Indiana congregations adapt to changing demographics by leveraging their spiritual gifts and available resources. Through our no-cost consulting, we help congregations assess and address their capacity to walk humbly with God and with their neighbors. Center staff walk alongside congregational leaders, encouraging them to examine and challenge old assumptions to make way for new approaches. As a result of our work, Indiana congregations have fostered inclusive environments supportive of continued growth and fellowship.
The Center for Congregations is funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. and is a supporting organization of the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
