Every congregation experiences the transition of leadership at one point or another. While the origin of these situations often vary, navigating the transition of leadership can be tricky. The Center for Congregations walks alongside congregations during times of leadership transition. We listen to you about your congregation’s needs and discuss plans of action. We provide guidance on helpful postures and actions churches can take to maintain congregational health. Using our connections, we direct congregations toward interim leadership solutions, and when it’s time for new leadership, Center staff direct congregations to take a number of steps to ensure a smooth transition.
The Center for Congregations is funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. and is a supporting organization of the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
