Legal and financial issues are always on the minds of church leaders. There are many intricacies involved with managing the legal and financial needs of a congregation. The Center for Congregations provides Indiana congregations with guidance for legal and financial needs. Through our free consulting and database of resources, we equip congregations and individuals with an understanding of congregational legalities and finance, along with tools for managing it effectively. We teach congregational leaders about legal implications for copyright health care and finances. The Center offers resources for common law and finance questions relating to hiring, tax, accounting, and administration. We also help protect congregations from unnecessary legal complications by providing access to both free and subscription-based content on topics like health care reform, elder law updates, and tax reform updates.
The Center for Congregations is funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. and is a supporting organization of the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
