There are a lot of challenges facing religious congregations today. It can be important for leaders to place their churches in the best position possible to grow. Congregations that are healthy and growing have a number of things in common. They have leaders, staff, and volunteers who are well-trained, who share the vision for their congregation, and who are committed to serving their members. The Center for Congregations provides resources and no-cost consulting to help Indiana congregations develop strong leaders, staff, and volunteers. Center staff work with congregations to train staff teams, develop volunteer programs, and implement leadership programs for clergy development. Using our tools, congregations learn how to build an effective team and how to support them as they develop their skills in ministry.
The Center for Congregations is funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. and is a supporting organization of the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
