Lana has been long associated with the Center for Congregations through the education events and focus groups. She is a retired public-school teacher and principal and is currently serving as the Christian Education Director at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Evansville, an active Board Member for the Evansville African American Museum, the NAACP & YWCA. Lana has a heart for people and congregations, and therefore joined the Center for as a Resource Consultant in January 2023. Lana will assist congregations located in Southwest Indiana.
Sofia Cook is the administrative assistant for the Southwest Center. She has worked in service and support positions in different industries, building a variety of skills that she is happy to put to good use at the Center for Congregations. Sofia earned a B.A. in Arts Studio from Berea College and enjoys quilting and sewing in her free time.
