This interactive workshop introduces Faith in Place and invites people of faith to explore creation care, the sacred call to protect, honor, and nurture the Earth as part of our spiritual practice. Together, we’ll reflect on how environmental justice is not only a moral issue, but a spiritual one.
You will learn:
Faith in Place’s Zach Garcia, originally from Northwest Indiana, has dedicated his career to forestry and environmental humanities. He thrives on revitalizing organizations, guiding them in new directions, and transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation. Beyond his professional work, Zach serves as a Director for the Indiana Community Forestry Council, an Advisory Trustee with the Indiana Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, and as the LGBTQ+ Liaison for the City of Evansville.
The Center for Congregations is funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. and is a supporting organization of the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
