Welcome to 2025. Your congregation plays a vital role in the well-being of individuals and the health of your local community. While I can’t predict the specific challenges and opportunities you’ll encounter this year, I do know this: the Center for Congregations has circled the orbit of over 6,000 Indiana congregations, We want to join your journey this year.
Some of the issues you’ll tackle may seem routine. Perhaps the roof leaks, the parking lot needs repaving, or the microphones don’t work well.
Other challenges you’ll face will transcend the everyday. How should lives be honored? What is God calling your congregation to accomplish this year? How can your community grow in generosity and hospitality?
Like all of us, you’ll encounter situations for which you feel unprepared. When I was pastor I was often vexed by care of our building and planning discernment with the board. Yet, you bring countless gifts to your congregation, and when you need something extra — guidance, resources, or encouragement — the Center for Congregations is here for you.
We exist to support you through resource consulting, educational events, grants, and the Congregational Resource Guide — all designed for you and all offered at no cost.
Reach out to us. We’re ready to help you meet the challenges ahead.
