Supporting People in an After-COVID World: A Guide for Congregations

Supporting People in an After-COVID World: A Guide for Congregations

mmSociety is slowly returning to normal after the pandemic, but mental health experts tell us this a time of extra risk for people. Some mix of social isolation, grief from loss, and financial hardship have impacted every person in our country. Studies show these factors triple the risk of severe anxiety and depression, and that those risks persist for nine years after the hardship is over. This online learning event will equip you and your congregation to host supportive spaces for processing these experiences and reforming social bonds. Educator, author and podcaster Mike McHargue leads this workshop.

Date and time: 1:30-3 p.m. May 5 and 12, 2021
