How can your congregation move with greater confidence from creative ideas to initiating great programs? This learning experience will help you improve program planning so that your board, staff, team or committee can successfully address your congregation's challenges and opportunities. Whether you are starting a new worship service, exploring a new community ministry or seeking to raise funds for your building project, there are specific actions you can take to help plan and implement new programs, initiatives and projects.
You have two opportunities to attend this live online workshop, which will introduce you to the learning journey that is part of almost all successful congregational projects. The learning journey includes identifying your challenge, exploring possibilities, dealing with disappointment, discovering the way forward, taking on and letting go, validation and, inevitably, a new challenge.
Workshop facilitator and Center President Tim Shapiro will help you consider program planning and congregational learning in light of a current congregational initiative.
You will learn how to:
- identify program challenges as learning opportunities.
- understand which part of the learning journey you are experiencing so you know what appropriate actions to take.
- validate progress to keep positive momentum.
- match the best resources for your current capacity.
This live online workshop is being offered twice: noon-1:30 p.m. (Eastern time) Wednesday, June 7, 2017 and 6-7:30 p.m. (Eastern time) on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. The workshop is free, but registration is required.
