The Creative Worship workshop teaches techniques and methods that your congregation, large or small, can use to make big things happen in worship and beyond. The day is a mix of practical philosophy and tips for developing and maturing your use of technology and digital imagery to communicate the gospel through powerful, transforming stories in worship. Over the course of the day, you will learn to see our culture and your ministry differently by increasing your “image literacy" and generating ideas for incorporating digital images into worship.
This highly rated workshop has been hosted in 42 states in local congregations, as part of denominational gatherings, and at national events. From moving your sermons off “pause” to integrating media into worship, this workshop focuses on the creative use of metaphors, graphics and video by congregations doing excellent, cutting-edge media ministry.
The day consists of four sessions:
- Digital Storytellers: Worship in the Digital Age
- Design Matters: The Art of Communicating the Gospel
- Taking Flight with Creativity: Worship Design Teams That Work
- The Wired Church: Growth Strategies
As a participant, you will:
- strategize and learn models for digital-age worship;
- examine what makes certain images effective and others not;
- experience first-hand the power of working in a team;
- leave with drawings and ideas for how to configure your technical setups.
Led by author and animator/illustrator Jason Moore, Creative Worship is helpful for a wide variety of people, regardless of proficiency level. Whatever your experience as an individual and as a congregation, Moore helps you to understand the nature of digital ministry and how to use it best to communicate the gospel. This workshop was designed to be equally instructional for those wanting to take initial steps and those needing direction to re-ignite and flame their ministry efforts. It is not just for techies, but for anyone who wants the screen to be a vital part of the worship experience. The Creative Worship workshop is best experienced as a team with the other members of your worship and media design process.
Jason Moore is an award-winning digital artist. Moore’s passions include designing worship, production, acting and teaching. He leads seminars across North America on creating cutting-edge worship, with an emphasis on demystifying the productions process.
