What does a congregation mean when they describe themselves as spiritually vital? How does a congregation become vital? What is the relationship between vitality and sustainability? Does the answer depend on the faith tradition? While churches used worship attendance as the primary measure of vitality for many years, that measure no longer reflects the changing nature of congregational community.
To this end, FACT (Faith Communities Today) launched a qualitative research project to find measures of vitality among multiple and divergent faith communities. The results of that research project are now available to help congregations assess their own vitality. Click here to access the FACT report Vital Congregations.
