Local Garden Highlights Congregation's Commitment to Earth Care

garden"Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part."

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne takes their values seriously. Their belief in humanity's responsibility to care for the earth moved them to plant a native garden and no-mow grass. Native plants require less maintenance, but they also serve as pollinators for bees. No-mow grass reduces the carbon emissions that mowing requires. This church is registered with the Sacred Grounds Wildlife Federation.

Thank you, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne, for your thoughtfulness and hard work on this project.

Elements of this project were Resource Grant eligible. If you would like more information on the Center's Resource Grants, check out our grant FAQs or contact your local Center office.
