Keith Crouch and Russell Maddox
Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in New Albany
Thursday, April 8, 2010 in Evansville

A congregational building project involves more than just construction. This workshop explores the stages of assessment, planning and implementation for a building program and emphasizes the importance of leadership in a building project.

Learn how to evaluate your current facilities and see how those facilities impact the effectiveness of ministry. Find out what to expect when working with architects, engineers, contractors and municipalities. Gain a better understanding of how your decisions can impact the building project.

Participants will look at:

  • The overall process for updating and expanding buildings;
  • The role of leadership in the building process;
  • Guidelines for evaluating property and facilities;
  • A process for planning new property and new buildings;
  • Guidelines for master planning and developing the facility;
  • The roles of architects, engineers and builders and how to work with them;
  • Establishing the total project budget and project schedule;
  • How facilities can equip ministries.
