Spiritually Incorrect

by Dan Wakefield
Tuesday, October 23

Told with great humor and self-deprecation, Dan Wakefield - and cartoonist Marian delVecchio - have created a book that both the spiritual, and the not-so-spiritual, will enjoy.
Through great candor and humor (much of it irreverent!), Dan Wakefield’s Spiritually Incorrect shows that there are as many ways to find spiritual fulfillment as there are individual seekers. Part memoir, part essay, part whimsical illustration from his own life, Wakefield’s reflections break down the hard and fast rules, showing you how to discover the practices that uniquely work for you.

Wakefield will join us on Tuesday, October 23, for the GoodWords discussion of his book.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Wakefield is a novelist, journalist, and screenwriter. He began his writing career as a columnist for his high school newspaper, The Shortridge Daily Echo, and was a sports correspondent for The Indianapolis Star. After graduating from Columbia College in New York City in 1955, he wrote for many national magazines (including The New York Times Magazine, Harpers, The Atlantic Monthly) and published his first book, Island in the City: The World of Spanish Harlem. Wakefield is the author of more than 15 fiction and non-fiction books.
