Brent serves as the Center's executive vice president, with primary responsibility for supervising the Center's day to day operations, administering the resource grants initiative and consulting case loads, and developing communications strategies.
Brent is a minister in the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). He has served as a local church pastor, denominational executive, seminary faculty member, director of a not-for-profit agency and para-church organization staff member. He is a graduate of Chatfield College, Wilmington College and Earlham School of Religion. Brent is a writer with fifteen books and more than one-hundred magazine articles (fiction and non-fiction) published.
An established author, Brent co-wrote the books Holy Places: Matching Sacred Space with Mission and Message and 40 Days and 40 Bytes: Making Computers Work for Your Congregation as well as many other pieces, including Ten Things You Need to Know about Sacred Space Projects, The Tech Commandments, Leaky Gutters and Sacred Spaces, and Best Practices for Using Computers in Congregations.
